Vimana Holidays is the Vienna company of Mattia Ferro. The method behind everything
on this page is slow and hard to copy: we studied the world’s best hotels, from Dubai
to Las Vegas to Shanghai. We built our own near Venice. We have run it for eight years.
We advise from inside the trade, not outside it.
Five-star open-air resort in Italy: Luxury Camp at Union Lido
20
Suites, from €250 to €1,200 a night
600
Families hosted a year, from Munich to Dubai
8
Years running it: staff, shifts, invoices
What we do
Four crafts. One rule.
If we have not lived it, we do not sell it. Every service below runs on our own
properties first, at our own risk.
Perceived value
Luxury hospitality consulting
Beautiful rooms alone do not command premium prices. Believed brands do. We work on
what makes a guest decide your nights are worth more: positioning, experience design,
pricing coherence. The rate is not the goal. It is the consequence.
Growth
Brand & digital marketing
Strategy, SEO and content for hospitality and lifestyle brands, on platforms we operate
every day: Booking.com, Tripadvisor, the open web. The same engine that grew our
own magazine, Open Air Vacanze, goes to work on your project.
Virtuoso network
Travel design
After years at the front desk, Mattia crossed it. As a travel advisor in the Virtuoso
network he designs journeys for the same guests he learned to host: Italy, the United
States, the Gulf. Built on the two things luxury actually runs on:
time and attention.
Sourcing and supply of high-end mobile homes and caravans. It began with importing
American Airstreams and selling bungalows on wheels across Italy. It never really
stopped.
Selected work
Brands we built, run or co-own.
A selection. We’ve shipped brand and digital work well beyond these. Proof over promises,
and we don’t pitch what we haven’t lived.
In partnership with Union Lido · Run by Camping Management Srl
Luxury Camp at Union Lido
Twenty suites inside Union Lido, half an hour by boat from St Mark’s Square.
A boutique hospitality village in the pine wood: Venice by day, then space, privacy
and a private beach when you come back. Forbes calls it the first Italian five-star
of its kind.
The magazine that doubles as our marketing lab. Reviews and guides on open-air travel
in Italy, written from inside the industry, monetised with affiliation and advertising.
A Made-in-Italy design brand born from drumming: handcrafted clocks that turn the shape
of a drum into an object you keep. Steel and brass, made by hand.
The seaside store for O bag, the Italian accessories brand, set where the open-air crowd
already is. Customizable bags and accessories, on the beach at Union Lido.
“Luxury is, above all, the art of making every guest feel
unique. The most precious resource we protect is the quality of their time.”
Mattia Ferro, founder · interviewed in Forbes Italia, 2025
Forbes described the format as one that “rewrites the lexicon of open-air holidays.”
“For Luxury Camp we did years of market research into the world’s best 5-star
superior to 7-star hotels, from Dubai to Las Vegas to Shanghai.”
Italiabsolutely, 2022
Mattia started with the part everyone skips: selling. A marketer first, he studied how
brands are built, then founded a company that imported American Airstreams and sold
bungalows on wheels across Italy. He saw open air could speak the language of
luxury before anyone else did.
Then the slow part. Years studying the world’s best hotels, from Dubai to Las Vegas
to Shanghai. Five more earning the trust of Union Lido’s owners. In 2018 the two
worlds merged into Luxury Camp at Union Lido, created in partnership with
Union Lido and run by the group’s participated company, Camping Management Srl.
Italy’s first five-star open-air resort, later recognised by Forbes.
Running it changed his definition of the job. Hosting six hundred families a year taught
him what guests actually pay for. Not marble. Time and attention. So he
crossed the desk: as a travel advisor in the Virtuoso network, he now designs journeys
for the same kind of guest he hosts.
Vimana is where it all converges: brand and digital marketing for hospitality and
lifestyle projects, consulting for operators who want their nights to be worth more,
and travel designed by someone who runs the other side. He writes about it at
mattiaferro.com.
One address, no forms. Mattia reads and answers personally.
Consulting, brand work, or a journey worth designing. If you want volume, we are
the wrong call. If you want a brand guests believe in, write.
